Eating, Drinking, and Going Out

Münster offers possibilities for eating and going out to fit every taste and budget.

The Kuhviertel (Cow Quarter), around Rosenplatz, is famous for its pubs, including “Cavete”, on Kreuzstrasse, the oldest student pub in Münster. Other restaurants can be found nearby, too, including the last “Altbier” brewery in the city, “Pinkus Müller”.

The oldest GASTHAUS in the City is the “Alte Gasthaus Leve”, on Alter Steinweg. There are also other restaurants featuring varied types of cuisine, as well as cafes and bars, on Alter Steinweg.

The Hafenviertel (Port Quarter) offers further, colourful possibilities. Alongside its restaurants and clubs, the Hafenviertel features creative culture in the form of theatre, galleries, and exhibits. There are also many pubs along the neighbouring Hansaring.

An overview of the restaurants, clubs, bars, and cafes of Münster can be found here [website in German].
